The Summer Conference for Computer Studies Educators happens every year in August and is sponsored by the CEMC and the University of Waterloo. Computer Science and Computer Technology teachers participate. They spend 3 days living on campus, networking with other teachers, learning new skills and brainstorming classroom activity ideas. It has always been a huge success and many teachers apply to come back year after year!
High school computer studies teachers, however interested elementary school teachers are welcome to attend.
Conference dates are Tuesday, August 16th - Thursday, August 18th, 2016 at the University of Waterloo.
The tentative 2016 program is now available online.
Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. We expect that we will have enough room for anyone who wants to participate in the 2016 Summer Conference for Computer Studies Educators, but to be ensured a spot, it is best to register early. Remember, every participant is required to submit a shared resource as well.
You should REGISTER ONLINE.
All registration requests must be received by Friday June 24, 2016.
The registration fee is $150 for each participant. The cost for student teachers who graduated in the current year is $75. This includes all meals and accommodation.
Resources from previous Summer Conferences can be found in our new searchable repository.
