Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How much does it cost?

    Those who are selected will be asked to pay a $75 registration fee. All meals and accommodations are provided at no cost to the participant.

  2. Can I come with a friend?

    Students should be willing to come alone. It is unlikely that two students from the same school will be selected.

  3. How many students will be accepted?

    There is room for 80 participants - 40 students at each workshop.

  4. Should teachers/parents attend the workshop as well?

    No. The students will be supervised in the evenings by four undergraduate female chaperones. Parents/guardians will be invited to attend a closing session on Saturday morning when they collect their daughters.

  5. My teacher did not receive a flyer. Can I still apply?

    6. Yes. Flyers are sent to schools in Southern Ontario but as long as your parent/guardian can drive you to UW on Wednesday evening and collect you on Saturday morning, you are welcome to apply.
