Educator Development

Students and Teachers at events

Community makes education better. Our teacher conferences, marking events and workshops help bring educators together to share their knowledge and expertise, build new connections and tap into renewed enthusiasm for mathematics and computer science.

Teacher Conferences

The Summer Conference for Computer Studies Educators is a wonderful chance for computer science and computer technology teachers to network with other teachers, learn new skills and brainstorm classroom activity ideas. The conference is usually held mid-August at the University of Waterloo.

The Summer Conference for Mathematics Educators in Waterloo is a popular event with a focus on curriculum, extensions and enrichment. The curriculum sessions will focus on problem solving. Teachers who register should have some previous teaching experience in an elementary or secondary school. The conference is usually held mid-August at the University of Waterloo.

EFGH Marking

Held in April each year, the EFGH marking event brings together educators from across Canada to mark contests written by students from across the world. This event allows markers to interact with others in the math education community from across Canada and participate in valuable professional development sessions.
