Each symbol in the grid below represents a numerical value. We know the sum of symbols for the first, second, and bottom rows and the leftmost and rightmost columns.

A 4 by 4 grid with a triangle, a circle, a square, or a hexagon placed in each square of the 16 squares. A number is placed to the right of three of the rows and below two of the columns.

For example, we know from the grid:

Triangle plus triangle plus triangle plus triangle is equal to 16.
